Hi all. Pure digital have recently brought out the first fully accessible dab clock radio, the sonous 1xt. this is a fully functioning clock radio but uses dab rather than analogue signals. it is fully accessible from the moment you plug in the power, and talks you through setting up the radio, though there's very little actual radio setup to do. it is fully customisable, with favourite station selection, alarm set and functions, a talking clock, a snooze function, also customisable, and lots, lots more! go to www.pure.com to find out more.

more on the sonus 1 xt. I've now been using my sonus 1 xt for a few weeks, and it's one of the best radios I've come across. As well as fully spoken menus, station names, time and alarm settings, the unit will also pspell out the information on some of the info screens availalble to dab users. there is a handy cd that comes with the unit that will talk you through the functions, as well as where all the buttons are on the unit. the unit is mono at first, but you can get an aditional speaker which plugs in to the unit to make it sterio. the sonus 1xt has two alarms, so you won't be getting up late ever again. You can set one alarm for a certain time waking you with one station, and then the second alarm could go off at another time, playing a diffrent station. this radio is so good for its price! £19.99gbp.

pure.com is where you get them, but on checking the price which stands at £99 for the mono unit, haven't cecked on the price of the aditional speaker, i saw they were out of stock, people buying for christmas maybe? This doesn't mean the RNIB or cobolt will be out of stock however.

sonas one xt is great product anyway. £117 for a product which retails at pure for about £99? how can they do this? p and p included? would have to be cureer delivery for that price.
